Lady Antebellum

Thanks to Auntie Gina, Andrew was able to enjoy the musical talents of Lady Antebellum at Pechanga. Who would have ever thought that one of Country music's most popular bands would be performing live in our little neck of the woods? The night was filled with fun, laughter, and great friends! Thank you Auntie Gina for making Andrew and I your replacement. At 36 1/2 weeks pregnant, we wouldn't have missed it! We are so very thankful you thought of us!

Baby Shower Mania

I truly hope I am able to express to Andrew one day how much he is loved and anticipated by all of my remarkable friends and family. After a fun-filled (but somewhat stressful) day, I took a moment to reflect on what amazing people I have in my life and how thankful I am that they were able to share in the celebration of welcoming Andrew. I cannot believe the generosity and kindness of my family and friends. Words cannot express the gratitude I have! Thank you for making our baby shower so wonderful!

Gma Danelle's house was bursting at the seams with 32 lovely ladies! It was a packed house and I am saddened that my time with them was scattered and short. Conversations were attempted to be had but alas, the excitement and the privilege of being the "Guest of Honor" distracted me from engaging in full conversations. So, thank you for all of your love, support, and friendship. Andrew is so lucky to have such wonderful people in his life...and me too of course!

I was blown away by the creativity of my family and friends. A diaper cake...how clever is that? Unfortunately, I didn't get pictures of the other 2 I received. That's right...3 diaper cakes!! WOW!

Balcony seating for the family...or as Gma Danelle said, the "riff raff room"

My co-worker Amy is one of the most talented women I have ever met. On top of being a teacher and a mom of a very busy little boy, she made this cake for my little guy and it matched his nursery bedding perfectly! And to top it off, it was by far one of the best cakes I have ever tasted!! YUM-O!! Thank you Amy!!

Andrew and I thank you all from the bottom of our hearts! XOXO

Andrew attends the Andrew Wedding

So Andrew has had quite the busy summer, celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, and attending weddings and baby showers. He must be quite pooped!
He loved being apart of sharing in the wedding celebration of Mr. and Mrs. Kody Andrew...maybe it's a name thing. It was a gorgeous day down in San Diego and love certainly filled the air. Of course, Daddy had to work but we spent the day with Gma and Grandpa and crazy Uncle JJ.

Photo booth fun!

We had a surprise visit from the bride and groom!!

Oh don't you worry, mama still got her groove on!! 8 1/2 months pregnant and all. Hopefully Andrew will inherit some of my dance moves...and maybe some of Uncle JJ's! :)

Congratulations Meagan and Kody! We are thrilled and honored to have been apart of your special day! We wish you a lifetime filled with love and happiness!

Happy Anniversary

It's crazy to think that it was four years ago today, I was getting ready for what I thought was going to be the biggest day of my life. Kyle and I knew we would have other major milestones ahead but these don't really cross your mind when you are focusing on walking down the aisle to say "I do!" It's even crazier to think that we spent over a year preparing for our wedding day, a day that would come and go in a blink of an eye. And yet, here we are, preparing to embark on life's greatest miracle with only 9 months preparation, with an outcome that will last the rest of our lives. It's interesting to think about it that way.

Our wedding day was truly the most magical day! I loved every moment of it and I didn't believe our friends and family when they said, "enjoy it, it will go by faster than you think!" They were so right! That day was filled with love and Kyle and I were both surrounded by our most special family and friends. The day started in the early morning and before I knew it, Kyle and I were being escorted out of the venue by bubbles. Oh, what I would give to relive that day! Just being able to try on my dress and wear it again for the day...although I don't think it would fit right now if I tried it on! Mama's bump would get in the way!

The boys

The ladies

I do!

The whole family!

We did it!

Happy Anniversary Kyle! The past four years have been amazing and we have accomplished so much during our 11 years together, with our biggest accomplishment and testament of our marriage around the corner in a few short weeks! I love you!

You know you're pregnant when...

You go out to dinner and the waitress doesn't bring you one glass of water, but two...and then a whole pitcher. Guess Andrew and I were a tad bit thirsty!

Andrew's First Beach Day

One of the joys of being on summer vacation is having the luxury of waking up and asking your hubby, "What do you want to do today?" Sorry to rub this in but you have to remember that teachers endure 10 months of organized chaos only to have the summer vacation to regain all remaining ounces of sanity to start the process all over again. So alas, waking up on Monday morning on my maternal clock rather than o'dark early and then making the decision to head down to La Jolla and spend a little "Kyle and me" time was a welcomed idea.

We packed up and made our way down the California coast for what promised to be a beautiful day. The weather was amazing, a cool 78 degrees, which of course, made for one very happy pregnant lady! You have to remember that La Jolla holds a certain significance to Kyle and I as this is the place of our first date together 12 years ago, as well as the location of every anniversary to follow. More importantly, La Jolla is where Kyle proposed and well, the rest is history! We visited the harbor seals and checked out the fat squirrels who beg for food almost as bad as JD. Our day in La Jolla concluded with an ocean terrace dinner at George's, the restaurant where Kyle took me the night he proposed as well. The view was breathtaking and the atmosphere was so romantic.

We then decided to move our way up the coast and stopped at the Torrey Pines State Park where we played in the sand, collected shells, and marked Andrew's first beach day with his name in the sand at sunset. It was such a fun filled day and I am so glad that Kyle and I were able to spend some time together. I have been advised by many moms not to forget hubby during motherhood so we figured we would get a head start now. It's funny how much two people can truly enjoy the simple things in life.

Is that a Baby Bump I see?

After 3 years of offering a photo shoot to me as a Christmas gift, I finally took one of my family's up on her offer and decided to do belly pics. If you live in Southern California, you know the weather has been scorching hot the last couple of days so we were thrilled that the weather presented us with a cool 70 degrees during our morning shoot. Especially at 8 months pregnant, I was elated!! Dawn is so incredibly talented and has such a great eye for scenic areas to capture that perfect shot.

So for all of you that have been asking for some belly pics, here you go! These are just a few of the great shots she took and don't worry, more are on the way!
